Last night, the Atlanta Hawks hosted “Gucci night,” honoring the southern rapper. Welcomed by a thunderous applause, loud cheers and 1017 cries, it was clear that his hometown has a lot of love for the East Atlanta Santa. And he loves them back.

Despite losing to the Anthony Davis lead New Orleans Pelicans, the night still proved fruitful for Gucci. He pulled off the mannequin challenge during his halftime performance, and followed it up with his verse on the current number one Billboard Hot 100 song, “Black Beatle.” You've got to love Gucci. The crowd duplicated their initial warm reception, cheering louder than they did for the actual game —we all knew whose night this was. Lost in the love, he decided to reciprocate the feeling.

After changing out of his all black ensemble of a custom “Guwop” number six Hawks jersey into its all white opposite, you could tell Gucci was planning something special. Sitting court side with his longtime girlfriend whom he met at a 2010 video shoot, Keyisha Ka’oir, he waited for the Kiss Camera to pan his direction to make his move. He stood up, pulled out a whopping 25-karat ring (diamond encrusted band too…) and proposed to a very excited future Mrs. Mane.

Congrats to Gucci and Keyisha. To commemorate their engagement, this week’s GUCCI WEDNESDAYS is “Icy Lil Bitch” off Woptober.
